We started BrightDerms with the mission of helping keep people safe while they seek dermatologic care, whether it is a new rash, a spot of concern, or a chronic skin condition. In a post-pandemic world, we realized that there are many people who either lost their insurances or are stuck in long waiting lines to see a board-certified dermatologist.

Our Providers
Dr. Miesha Merati is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained dermoscopy expert, specialized in the early detection of melanoma and nonmelanoma skin cancers. After finishing her undergraduate studies at University of Michigan, and medical school at Michigan State University, she completed her dermatology residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
During residency, she served two chief resident roles, as well as leadership positions on medical education, medical device and cosmeceutical scientific advisory boards. She trained under and is actively engaged in research and clinical trials with internationally-acclaimed leaders in general and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Merati published in numerous textbook chapters, peer-reviewed scientific studies, and presented at multiple national dermatology conferences. Her publications are in journals such as the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and The Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, among others. During training, she received several research as well as outstanding presentation awards. She also serves active roles on committees within the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
After residency, Dr. Merati spent two years at the largest cosmetic practice in Northeast Ohio, where she had ample opportunity to apply her love for creativity and unique training to provide superior medical and cosmetic dermatologic care. She also stayed active within the community by engaging in charity skin cancer screenings and mentoring medical students and resident physicians.
When not in the office, Dr. Merati enjoys sketching, acrylic painting, photography, traveling, and spending time with her family and her pets. She is fluent in Farsi and especially enjoys both cooking and eating Persian cuisine. Her rigorous training, artistic eye, diverse experiences, and caring demeanor contribute to the exceptional and ethical care she provides to her patients.
Dr. Harib Ezaldein is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in skin cancer detection and treatment, hair follicle disorders, blistering conditions, and infectious dermatology.
He trained in nanoscale engineering at Yale University, where he also completed his medical school training. Dr. Ezaldein completed training at the University of Washington in general, plastics, and burn surgery. Then, completed a dermatology residency at Case Western in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was a chief resident of academic research and the coordinator of the Cleveland Dermatologic Society meetings.
With over 50 peer-reviewed publications and numerous research collaborations, Dr. Ezaldein topics of interest include health costs, inequalities, and reform. He is excited to join BrightDerms and help improve accessibility to high quality dermatologic care.
